WHAT: Malakoff vs. Little River Academy in bi-district playoff action

WHEN: 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11

WHERE: Groesbeck — here is a link to information about the stadium. On the site is a button that will help you map a route.

WHO: The Tigers are playing the Little River Academy Bumblebees, the No. 3 seed from District 12-2A. Here is a link to their Maxpreps page listing their game-by-game results for the year.

HELP: The Malakoff Athletic Boosters are collecting donations to provide a charter bus for the Tigers. According to information released by the Boosters: “Due to budget cuts that school districts across the state have had to implement this year, it is difficult for the school to provide a charter bus for the team, as they have historically done. Please show this team, this staff and this community that we appreciate and support a winning football program in Malakoff by making a donation to the Booster Club’s charter bus drive. Any size donation is appreciated and will help send our Tigers off in style!” Donations can be dropped off at the high school office.

MORE TO COME? Watch The Malakoff News Facebook Page and website for more information — I think playoff shirts and a possible community pep rally are in the works.
