Henderson County Fire Marshal Darrell Furrh announced today that the county caught another arsonist. Last week, he announced arrests and indictments for arson in connection with two unrelated fires.

This time, however, the suspect is just 10 years old.

According to Furrh, the boy has been charged as a juvenile and is accused of starting a grass fire on Aug. 7 in the Wildwood subdivision in Chandler.

Furrh said no major damage was caused by the fire, adding “we were very, very lucky.”

The same boy was suspected in two fires set in June 2010, but could not be charged as a juvenile because he was just 9 years old at the time.
