Services for Florence Pierce Jumper, 79, of Malakoff were held 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Cross Roads with the Rev. Frank Upchurch officiating.
Burial followed in Post Oak Cemetery under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jumper died Oct. 21, 2012 in Tyler.
She was born March 4, 1933 in Cross Roads to the late Ed Roy and Beatrice Waller Pierce and was a 1950 graduate of Cross Roads High School. Following graduation she attended St. Paul School of Nursing in Dallas. She later worked for Dr. Nash, a dentist on the Courthouse Square in Athens. While employed for Dr. Nash, she met and married the love of her life, Howard T. Jumper, Jr. They resided in Houston 26 years, moved to Bellville for eight years then returned to Malakoff in 1994. She was a member of First Baptist Church Cross Roads.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Billie Louise Heidelberg.
Survivors include husband Howard T. Jumper, Jr., Malakoff; sons Mike Jumper, Sugar Land, Randy Jumper and wife Sonia, Houston; daughters Becky Renee Morton, Tina Dupree, Tanya Jumper, all of Malakoff; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Luke Jumper, Kevin Jumper, Justin Lindley, Jeremy Jumper, Shane Jumper, and Rick Sadler.
Visitation for family and friends was 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
