Obituary: Pamela Dianne Arthus Patterson

Memorial services for Pam Patterson, of Tyler were held 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at the First Baptist Church Malakoff with Pastor Ronnie Yarber officiating.
Mrs. Patterson passed from this earthly home to her Heavenly home on Sept. 5, 2012.
Mrs. Patterson was born Feb. 5, 1955 in Athens to Edwin Linder Arthus and Dorothy Marie Cox Arthus. She retired from teaching after 18 years of service to the Malakoff, Whitehouse, Tyler and Athens School districts. After her retirement from teaching she decided to try her hand at real estate where she was awarded the Million Dollar Sales award in the first year. She was a member of the First Baptist Church Malakoff for many years, later moving to Tyler and united with Green Acres Baptist Church where she served her later years. Mrs. Patterson enjoyed spending time with her dog Chandler. Her sons, their wives, grandchildren as well as the rest of her family were the love of her life. She was a very loving mother, daughter, sister and “Mimmy” and will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Patterson.
Mrs. Patterson leaves behind two sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Audrey Hampy and Eric and Denielle Hampy of Austin; grandsons, Pryor and Reed Hampy of Fort Worth; her parents, Edwin and Dorothy Arthus of Malakoff; a sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Charlie Bullock of Malakoff; brother and sister-in-law, Eddie and Jeri Arthus of Pittsburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were entrusted to Hannigan Smith Funeral Home of Athens.
