Obituary: Noreen Jones

Noreen Jones went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Aug. 6, 2012. Services were held 11 a.m.Thursday, Aug. 9, at Stewart Family Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roger Dawson officiating.
A private burial will be held under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jones was born Jan. 12, 1931 in Fort Worth to Frank Edward and Ila Voss White Dulaney.
She was a member of Uvalde Baptist Church in Houston. Although she never learned to read music, she loved to play the piano and organ. She also taught Sunday school and enjoyed gathering with her friends to play bridge and drink coffee. Mrs. Jones enjoyed reading and eating Bluebell orange sherbet ice cream and cooking. Mrs. Jones had a gentle soul, who was very giving and never complained. She loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John Earl Jones, Jr; and son-in-law Stan Marlow.
She is survived by her loving family including daughters Teresa Marlow of Tyler and Cynthia Dyson and husband, Ken, of League City; sisters Thelma Goin of Wolfe City and Ruth McGee and husband, H.L., of Suwanee, Ga.; brother Bud Dulaney and wife, Shirley, of Malakoff; grandchildren Jason Taylor of Tyler, Jaclyn Dawson and husband, Roger, of Greenville; great-grandchildren Reah Dawson and Reagan Dawson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
