First Assembly of God Malakoff will be dialing up an “egg-stravaganza” for the fifth consecutive year, and will be putting out more than 15,000 Easter eggs for children to scoop up Saturday, March 31.

The way First Assembly does things, the kids – who will be split into ages 0 to 3, 4 to 6, and 7 to 12 – won’t have any trouble finding the eggs. This is more of a race than hide and seek.

The event will run from 1-3 p.m. at the church at 920 E. Royall Blvd (SH 31).

This year’s activities will include bounce houses and contests such as a hula hoop, cupcake, and a cookie decorating. There will also be free hotdogs and drinks, and a puppet show.

The church will be giving away 12 bicycles and will have drawings throughout the event for prize baskets.

The First Assembly of God youth group will be selling cotton candy and popcorn (the only items with a price) as a fundraiser to send kids to camp.
