Malakoff residents will be seeing an increase on their Allied Waste bill following Monday’s Malakoff City Council meeting.
Residents will see a .48-cent increase and businesses .69 cents.
The city did not have a choice in approving the rate increase because of the current contract.
Council member Pat Isaacson said: “Every council member said the same thing. ‘We don’t want to vote for this, but we don’t have a choice.’”
