Cleda Freeman, 77, a former high school teacher in Trinidad along with her husband Billy, has died in Arkansas. The Freemans left Trinidad approximately 30 or more years ago for the ministry. Billy became a pastor with Cleda working by his side. She was a passionate student of the Bible. Cleda is survived by her husband of 60 years and three children: Carrolyn Tucker and husband of Bismarck; Eugene and wife of Park Ridge, Ill. and Charles Freeman and wife of Collinsville, Ill; one sister, Linda Small of Florida, one brother, Ferrell Childress of Arkansas; eight gandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Her funeral services will be held Friday with interment in Hart Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hart Cemetery, c/o Thelma Dixon, 3705 Pine Street, Arkadelphia, AR 71923.

A well-known entertaining group, the Plummer Family, will perform in Trinidad in the high school auditorium at 7 p.m., Monday, February 13. This group is associated with Branson, Missouri. Admission for adults is $10 in advance and $12 at the door. For children 12 and below, the charge is $5. No charge for pre-school. The Plummers are sponsored by the Trinidad VFD with tickets at all area Brookshire’s supermarkets plus Food Rite in Kerens and all Trinidad VFD personnel.

Try to catch a hometown basketball game if able. Out-of-town games are being played also.

Bessie Cartlidge, who broke her hip last week, is now in Dallas for therapy near one of her children.

Christopher Brown, Billie and Claudie Jackson’s great-grandson, will have his colon surgery by the end of the month. He is an elementary school student having adult problems.

    Can Some one please provide me with Hildred Cartidge location in the Dallas area I have known her for many years and would love to visit her.
